| It has been an eventful few months with a busy schedule. Research-wise, our co-written article on the control of the bagpipe bag was selected as technical area pick by the musical acoustics committee of the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA) and it is free for download until August 31st. I was also the recent winner of the 101 Research competition organised by University of Lincoln where Early Career Researchers were invited to explain their research in 101 seconds with one prop or one slide. Woop! Now that the university duties have wound down, it's time for some serious touring with Världens Band and Amaraterra. We will be sharing wild Southern Italian beats with audiences in Mallorca for the revived Cançons de la Mediterrània (Ses Voltes, Palma) as well as on the Isle of Wight on the main stage of Rhythm Tree Festival. The summer will also be busy with a great Världens Band tour that will take us around Sweden and Denmark. |   |
