It's a brand new year with exciting projects happening. January will be busy with lots of music. Amaraterra will be performing both at Jamboree and Bedroom Bar, our two usual hideouts. To celebrate 2015, we have launched our new feature video on YouTube with musical extracts and snippets of interviews with the musicians. World Scatterlings will be performing towards the end of the month, a surprising mixture of blues and folk with a north-western African twist and I'll be sharing the stage with Olcay Bayir for a few tunes at the SOAS Concert Series. And to top everything off, Varldens Band was suggested for the Swedish Folk and World music gala in the 'best collaboration' category, so we're crossing our fingers whilst the judges make their final decisions. January usually tends to be a bit disappointing but not this year!
